Default Will the stock computer work

My brother and I are taking his 318 out of his 95 dakota and we are going to turn it into a blown 383 stroker. He was wondering if the stock computer will work or do we have to use a 360 computer out of a ram? If so does it matter what year ram the computer comes out of?

I am going to say no. You will need to go with a F.A.S.T. system. It is more of what you will need for a radical engine like that.

depends on how radical of a cam you'll run if its a fairly stock one..then you could get by with a highperformance computer but to get the most out of the truck you'll want to do something different. the computer will act up if you go with to radical of a cam because it doesn't like to see the drop in vaccum. because of the map sensor.

Hes planing on either using a stock cam and using different rockers or hes going to get one with close to stock specs but with less overlap.
