Diagnostic units for a 1995 Dodge dakota
Does any one know if it is possible to connect a computer to the 1995 dodge dakota's to read the codes? Please let me know, i would like to find out wy some lights come on and stay on.
Are you referring to your check engine light that you refered to in your previous post?
I don't know if you take your truck to an auto-parts place and have the codes read for free. The reason is, the readers they use read OBDII systems. I don't know if the 1995 models use OBDII.
Anyways, if its the check engine light your refering to, my answer is in your other post.
If its not the check engine light your refering to, it would be nice if you would have listed it.

I am getting codes that show like this:
1) flash-flash-flash (Pause)flash-flash-flash-flash-flash-flash
2) flash-flash-flash (Pause) flash-flash-flash flash-flash-flash flash-flash-flash flash
I would think that #1 is a code 36, but on the paper i was given i dont see a code 36, and I think code #2 is a 40 but i dont see any connection there.
i should let you know that my O2 sensor was not connected during the code reading, i hope this does not set it off any.
Please let me know what the codes mean, it is very anoying when the truck is constantly acting up an i am trying to commute. As this is my only vehicle

Yea, I can't find anything for 40, and code 36 shouldn't have anything to do with your truck (air switching solenoid coil circuit)
any idea's what i should check next, or if i should bring it into a shop and let them take my money to try and find the problem

When did this start? Is there certain driving conditions where its worse/better?
Maybe someone else can chime in with some help.
