Default headlight 90 dak question

Okay... I had headlights on my way to work, but no running lights. I figured out the issue and removed the radio(I matched wiring of PO instead of looking here for wiring diagram). But for some reason now I have running lights and no head lights... Is there a Relay or underhood fuse or something I am missing? I have looked all over the truck and haven't found any bad fusible links or anthing. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
PS- I am also going to need the radio wiring color codes, but I will do a search and see if they are already here.

my truck does the same thing when its really cold out. I will have running lights but no headlights, but after like 10-15 minutes of driving, they come back on.

I thnk its my headlight switch on the dash, cause there is a bit of play in there. I've never really tried to look at the wires cause 1. I HATE WIREING. and 2. I HATE WIREING.[:@]

I'm gonna just get a switch from a junkyard and see if that fixes it. since mine only does it when its cold out.

Okay, after a search here for the wiring diagram... It appears that the PO had it wired wrong... He had it grounded throught the black/yellow which I bet is the reason it blew the headlights, but why would they work on my way to work?It was also pulling power from the dimmer switch for the keyed input to the radio. Sad part is it looks to me like they had it professionally installed. Any ideas would be seriously appreciatted.

Okay, a bit more info... I have high beams, but no low beams. Is there something other than the low/high beam switch that is between the switch and the headlights themselves??? A relay or something like that? Any help with a diagram or a link to one would greatly help!!

Thanks,
Shorty

Don't know if it will be of any help, but here is the front endlighting from an 89 service manual: http://gbrannon.bizhat.com/fl.htm
