Default No Heat

I have a 96 Dakota that I just put a new heater core in. Cooling system was flushed prior to installing the new core. I still don't have any heat. Anybody have any ideas?

does your engine heat up to operating temp? it could bee your thermosat stuck open and not alowing your engine to heat up enough to get heat.

Yes it comes up to normal temp. I put a new thermostat in before I changed the core.

if you feel both of the heater core lines, they should both be hot.

also when you changed the heatercore, did you make sure you put the blend doors on in the right place and hook up all the cables. cause maybe a blend door is saying stuck open and it's just pulling in cold air.

Found the problem. The heater hose coming from the block had a kink in it down by the block and I didn't see it right away. The hose was a little short but I thought it would work. Guess I was wrong! Thanks for all the help.
