paid $2500 for mine - only 90,000 miles on her, short bed, regular cab, 4x4, 5spd, 3.9, bedliner, topper, new brakes all round, new clutch, all new hoses and belts, and engine was completely rebuilt at 80,000. I think I did pretty good

Last month I bought a 94 Yamaha XJ600 that had been wrecked for $50, fixed it up and tuned it up, and then traded it for my 92 Dakota 2.5 5spd. Total investment in the bike, 350 plus work. Total investment in the truck, $50 more plus work.

All in all I bought the truck for about $400 plus about 60-70 manhours, but I don't count that cause it was recreation!

Oh yeah plus the $3 I'm going to spend today at the carwash to try and get the rotten fish stank out of it... must have previously been owned by an angler. Blech.

Just picked up a 93 Dakota LE 3.9 5 spd. 312,000 miles. Fixed a neighbors John Deere lawn tractor, saved him 300.00. Gave me the truck for the work. Put in a new ASD relay, fixed the splice in harness. Just needs a tune up. Plugs had a gap of .075, regapped em fired right up. still runs rough but tune up should take care of that.

93 v8 2wd 5.2l - $800. Bedliner, power everything, hadn't been inspected in a couple of years though. Overall, spent about $2500 in the last year fixing it up (doing all the repairs myself, of course).

I just bought my 1988 Dakota 2wd for 500 bux. It needs nothing mechanically. The tailgate has to rust spots n the body has a few dents n the paint is peeling off thru-out the body, but NO RUST.. I'll post pics of it when I can find my small **** digi-cam...

I bought a '93 Dakota 2WD for $750. It is a 5.2L 318 V8 and had a canopy that came with it. Only problems Ive had so far is needing a new oxygen sensor which fixed the problem of running rich it had. Best $750 Ive ever spent!
