I think the computer controlls the transmission too.

but Ithink you will have to buy a new distributor, fuel pump, and any manifold for a carb 318 should fit.

it might just be easier to fix your fuel injection.

Yea, like jonnymagnum said, it would probably just be a lot easier to fix the FI problem. Your gonna have to get a carb (obviously), intake, fuel pump, probably lots of other things (probably a differant computer and engine wiring harness)

Go here to pull the codes , and post the code number here (I don't care about the discription, because there can be more than one code for a given system or part). Also, a summary of the problems you are having, any work that was done before the problem arose, any work that has been done since the problem came up (parts replaced trying to get rid of the problem, etc etc)

it will run fine mite be just in the morning or it may run fine for a week and the it will start running ruff and lose power the light came on and i checked the code i have the repair manual i forgot what the number was exactly i dont have the book with me rite now but it said something about the signal from the injectors it doesnt say a specific injector so it could be any one and i checked all the injectors with the ohm meter and they all were fine i have the high performance pcm so i always run 93 octane in it and i been putting some lucus injector cleaner in it for a month now at every tank fill up which is like 2 times a week i have 238000 miles on it

Read my post here. If you need more information, clarifications, etc. feel free to ask.
And of course, when you find the solution, it would be nice to share it.
