I have a 92 Dodge dakota and i am looking at a 5.2L or 5.9L swap for my 3.9L. Will the 5 speed stick work behind those engines?

 

it will..... but it wont last long with the power of the V8

 

If you stick to stock tires you will be ok .The first owner of my 88 trashed the 7 1/4 but the 5 speed lasted 260,000 pulling a bobcat and trailer .I put another one in with a 5.2 infront of it and it lasted 8 years .But like alot of others the rear seal failed and toasted it .But then I baby my truck
