Today when i was driving all of a sudden my speedometer started spazing out and eventually quit along with my trip meter and odometer. I drove it for about 5 mins and my check engine light goes on. Then it eventually stopped. I'm just curious on what might have happened.

Code 16 and 37, i can understand 37 because I have always had a weird jerking in my transmision when I take my foot off the gas. But what is code 16.

 

im guessing it was code 15 No vehicle speed sensor signal.

sodid your speedo start jumping around then justquit and hasnt worked since?

I would take your guage cluster out and see if you can seeanything in there.

 

it jumped around for awhile, quit and eventually started working again, I wonder though because it started happening when i hit the edge of a snow drift. Do you think that could have bumped the cable?

 

ya, it probly could have.

I've been noticing mine ben jumping around when I go over 80kms. it will jump from 80-100-60-90-70-100-80 and you get my point. and it's making a squeaking sound too. I think its a stretched speedo cable. but who knows....
