ok, so im wondering what is the rear end in my truck? is it a posi? My truck is a 1990 dakota sport 2wd

I would jack up the rear end and spin the tires, if they both spin the same direction, then you have a posi. if it spins the oposite direction you dont. and the 7.25 has a hexigonal diff cover and the 8.25 has an oval diff cover.

 

No Dakota back when they first came out came with any posi trac maybe limited slip but not posi
