I had a coolant leak and have found it to be the top left corner of the timing chain gasket. Problem is all the auto stores have rubber gaskets, and the one that came off the water pump was paper and The one on the timing cover is paper too, Theres no grooves for a rubber gasket to fit, but no one can even get a paper one! I dont want to buy the paper and cut it myself since its such a big gasket, did anyone else run into this issue?? need to get the truck back on the road asap, thanks
a felpro timing gasket set will include the timing chain cover, front crank seal, and water pump. consider replacing the timing chain/sprockets while the cover is off. a cloyes set is only about $40-50 and if its never been replaced, you'll be amazed at how worn out it is.
Thanks for all the tips, Napa didnt have em either but i completely forgot about advance auto, and they had it! Ill pull it off and decided whether I wanna get the whole cover and gears/chain or not
