Default My 93 Dodge Dakota

Traded a 84 Honda Sabre for a 93 Dodge Dakota with a 3.9L almost 180,000 on the engine. It misfires under load now after getting water sucked into the TBI. Installed new plugs/wires & fuel filter, no luck. Any suggestions?

Added rims and gave it the Rustoleum $50 dollar paint job

I hate the two tone paint job. It makes it look like an old mans truck. Your $50 paint job looks good.

Depending on how much water you sucked in the throttle body, you might have hydra-locked the motor and bent a rod. A friend of mine had a slight head gasket leak in his BMW and tried racing my Dad in his 2.2 turbo wagon up an on ramp and hydra-locked #6. After the head got removed you could see #1 sitting just above the deck and #6 sitting just below the deck.

I'll be taking it in for a compression test on Monday. I wouldn't mind doing an engine swap. 318 or even a 440 muahaha

prep work using a 5" electrical orbital sander using 220 grit

Just picked up a fastback that I'll paint in the spring
