Default Could this be an issue with the blend door?

94 Dakota, whenever I drive the car for longer than 15 or 20 minutes I will be able to feel heat from the engine. It does this whether the **** is slid all the way over to the heater side or to the AC side.

Also, when the switch for the heater / AC is slid towards the heater, it will not go all the way; it stops about a third of an inch away from where it is supposed to. Could this be part of the problem?

Also I should clarify that whatever settings I put the switch to, like Dash vents, defroster, floor vents, those all work properly without exception. It's just that once the engine is warmed up the engine heat starts to come through with no way to close it off.

Sounds like the cable that operates the blend door is not working properly, or the blend door is jammed.
