01 durango battery died, we have no headlights, no parking lights, no interior light, etc

Default 01 durango battery died, we have no headlights, no parking lights, no interior light, etc

my boyfriend was fixing my left rear window and had the radio on. The battery died, and now we have no we have no headlights, no parking lights, no interior light, no intermittant (sp?) wipers and no power locks. Anyone have this issue before?

There is no single fuse or relay that would be in control of all those systems. However check your fuse panel to make sure he didnt short out the window and blow a/many fuses. Try to jump the boost the battery and let it run for a while so the alternator can recharge it......if your battery is completely drained, just going to have to get a new one

battery was completely shot....gonna put the new one in today, hopefully that fixes it. Will reply as to whether or not this worked....Thanks!

As mentioned above, it's obvious to look for a short or blow fuse. Could be in the secondary 'secret' fuse box up under the dash if not in the main one.

Coincedence that the same issues (plus more) would be a failed CTM. But since he was working on something electrical, it's more than likely a blown fuse or a short.

Tell him next time to disconnect the battery FIRST!
