RE: exhaust
Yes it is after the cat so if you do want aftermarket you will have to get the cat as well. If I were you I would just use the stock pipes since they flow really well already and will not rot out for the life of the truck and why throw all that extra $ away on it just to get rid of the surface rust that isn't going any further.
As for the o2 sims I'm sure they would work fine I forgot about telling you about them.

Post #17 has a link for o2 sims they make the PCM think you are running clean. As long as you don't have a sniffer test then have at it.
A muffler shop would have to cut the muffler and cat off and weld new ones in and it might be smart for you to see how much it would cost to buy your muffler and cat from a shop than to just buy one from summit and pay labor out. I got mine from a shop here in Reno for $125 installed.

I just ordered a Flowmaster Force II Single 3 inch Rear Exit Aluminized Steel Cat-Back System With 3inch Stainless Tip, it ships on 6/3 , this coupled with the AEM BRUTE FORCE cold air intake with TB spacer I installed should add volume , if not I'll just put a FM outlaw series on it and watch the neighbors ears bleed !

RE: exhaust
Just curious, what equilivent model of flowmaster or mangaflow mufflers would give the same similar sound and decibels as the OEM muffler that is on the R/T? I want to change mine out and go with a split single in and dual out configurations. However, I do not want to advertise to everyone especially to the guys in blue to know where I am at when I stomp on the gas. But I do like to have the same similar sound as the OEM muffler that is on my R/T.
