Default Engine bay temps

Is the general area under the hood on your guy's D's unbearable? When the hood is open the heat coming off the engine is pretty intense, the fenders are a bit hot to the touch. Granted it's 95-100 degrees, it IS a big V8, but I just want to be sure Mine isn't a standout from the crowd. I mean it's uncombfortable to even stand by the area with hot air blowing up from the fan....

It gets toasty under my hood but it doesn't bother me enough to where I can't wrench on it at operating temp if need be.

Hardy Har har...

I'm just paranoid I guess. I can work on it but it is rather uncombfortable with the fan blowing that hot air up. I mean mine is HOT and just wanted to make sure warm isn't the norm!

Don't worry cesspool,

During the summer heat, I never work under the hood if the engine is hot. the hot air blowing from the fan is hot enough to tan my arms! Just too unbearable to work under the hood under that kind of temps. I usually wait until late evenings or work early morning when engine is still cold.
