Smittybilt and fan
Well I got my brushguard installed last night and it looks a lot better than I thought it would being chrome. I still have to get it powdercoated though because balck would still look a lot better. Also got my new fan clutch onyesterday and the damn thing drowns out the FM. I can see why people think there might be something wrong with their D. Any time I go WOT it just ROARS it almost sounds like a jet LOL. Oh well I know I won't overheat and I can scare small children and pets from both ends now.
I'll get some pics up soon. I'm going out wheeling tomorrow with steve00ram360 so hopefully we can get some good ones out there.

Yip, and something I had to get used to. But at least after driving a couple miles, the fan clutch will finally dis-enage. But at least it is really pulling in the air and my A/C is ice cold. this coming summer will be my first test of the performance of this clutch if and when DFW starts to hit the 100 and over degree mark. Right now we are touching 90's and I still freeze inside the cabine with the A/C running!
can you give me a link to this fan clutch Mean? I goT another big camping trip and the D ran just a smidge hotter than I'd like pulling the camper.
With 127K though, The truck ran like a BEAST!

You know I just got it at auto zone. It has a lifetime warranty and was $66.00 after tax (which is better than the dealers $140.00 without a warranty). Just remember a lot of auto part stores have a price match so call around to all the local part stores and buy from Auto Zone. I've never had a problem getting them to honor their warranties when something doesn't last the test of time...

Since I installed the viper fan, no more airplane roar, better cooling and colder a/c. Then there are other things such as, better gas mileage, more horsepower, less strain on the engine, smoother idling, etc. All Durango's should've come from the factory with electric fans, instead of the clutch fan.[sm=smiley20.gif].
