Default Code P 0307

Hi all,

In a panic here. Hubby is out of town for the week and my 2000 Durango just had the engine light come on. Checked the code and it's a P 0307. Misfire in the 7th cylinder. My question is: Will it do considerable damage to my truck to drive it while it's throwing this code? I need my truck this week. No other mode of transportation to get to work, etc.

thanks!

I wouldn't drive it like that. No good can come of it. Try a tune up.

A tune up is already in the plans, AFTER my husband gets home. But until then, I'm stuck. Either drive it and possibly mess it up worse or get fired from my job. This is my only form of transportation until he gets home.

unless the MIL is blinking its fine, the misfire happened enough times to set the code, thats all

is the truck idling funny (rough) or not accelerating like it used to?

try disconnecting the battery (negative side) and tapping the brake pedal a few times, then reconnecting the battery, that should clear the code, unless the code comes back on right away you should be fine
