skid plates (offroaders)
From what I hear, the two most popular skidplates are the front suspension/differential and the transfer case skidplates. Some also have fuel tank skidplates. On my '98 I already have the factory steel front suspension skid, and some kind of a bar/skidplate thing under my transfer case so I think I'm good. Not sure what the newer models have though. One other option besides a front suspension skid is to get a front receiver hitch. Draw-tite makes a really nice hitch for the front of the newer ('00 to '03) durangos that is barely visible and acts as radiator/front end protection, a tow point, and a hitch to more easily manuever trailors in tight spaces.
