2002 Durango Intermittent Wiper problem
The intermittent windshield wiper has quit. The wipers continue to run at the normal speed when the switch is set to intermittent. For awhile it worked O.K. when you turned off the ingnition and back on....but now it's doing it all the time.
Any ideas for a DIY person since the Dodge Dealer told me it would be over 3 days to get it even looked at and the Durango was 1800 miles out of warranty. He wanted $90. to even look at the problem...and didn't care that I had just ordered a 43K new 2007 Dodge 3500 at that dealership....what happened to "customer service"? I may have to re-think my order.
So....any ideas???

I would rethink ordering from them for sure. Go in and let them know why you will be canceling the order. They get way too much $$$off of that truck for them to blow you off over $90. Oh and I would say look at the actual switch as a culprit.
Thanks MeanGreen. On my way home I got a phone call from the salesman, thenthe sales manager, and later the service manager....all telling me to "bring your Durango back in and let us look at it"....
Not sure I'm going to do that now...and I agree that they make entirely to much off of sales to lose one for $90. to diagnose a wiper problem.
I have a few days to think about whether I'm going to accept delivery of the new truck...they are installing factory leather in it...and the deal isn't done until I accept the truck.
Thanks again....

well if they called wanting you to come in then tell them that ull let them look at if its at no cost to u since u are buying a new truck from them and if they say no, then id cancel the order and go find myself a better dealer
