Question on a 98 SLT Durango tranny
I just purchased a 1998 SLT durango back in January about a month after I bought it it started shifting hard when taking off from a stop. It only does is in 1st 2nd and some times 3rd gear it seems to do it more when it's cold out. After I drive it for about 20min it seems to not shift so hard. Every time I shift from 1st &2nd gear and some times 3rd the RPM's go up high before it will shift. The engine lightis not on and the tranny fluid looks good nice and clear.
Anyone have any ideas what this problem might be could it be a sensor or the bands might need adjusted or does it sound like something worse.
Any feedback would be great Thanks.

Areyou're saying it cuts loose(rpm's jump)and then shifts, like it slips and then grab the next gear or just winding out and then shifting?Mileage? This is not caused by being cold or warmed up.
