I'm flushing the radiator and changing upper and lower hoses, etc. The upper hoses connecting to fill neck have some special clamps on them, I bought new hoses and they don't have the recessed area in the hose. Just wondering if you have to use dodge oem hoses or is there a work around on this?
If by reccessed area you mean the area that matches the clamps perfectly, the new ones will after a few years. The clamp makes it's own seat if you will.
The whole upper radiator line is one system. The clamps on there are to stay. You must return to the dealer and order the upper radiator line. Costs $54 bucks. Mine started leaking around the clamps, had to replace the whole thing, Dodge only makes it that way.
