I don't remember where I heard it but as long as you wax the lens every time you wax the car it won't turn yellow. so it really isn't of any consequence.

Problem is even with the waxing, it will eventually be scratched up and turn yellow anyways. I have a 93 camry with plastic lens housing so I been dealing with it for a while now. But due to age, you can only do so much. Please here in Texas, I guess there is too much lose debris and what not and eventually the plastic lens get pitted making it dull.
Crap! I was all hyped up to get it but no thanks now. I had two vehicles with plastic lenses, a camry and a Eclipse GS. After 7 years of driving in DFW area, the lenses got all pitted up so even waxing, polishing did not do much good.I have to stick with glass type lens. I guess with most of today's clear lenses, it may have to be made out of plastic? dunno.
