Default FM radio problems

I have a 2002 SLT+ and the radio has started acting strange. Every once in a while, if I switch from CD to FM, the FM stations will only blink every couple of seconds, no sound. It is like they can't tune in. I have tried changing the fuses, turning off all my cellular device but that has not helped. The AM still works fine and the cd always works fine, it is just the FM stations. Any ideas? Thanks.

I am going to take the radio out and check the ground wire. Not sure what else could be causing it except the antenna wire, but that connection looks fine at the fender.

I found a workaround for now. As long as I am on AM before I use the cd player, then whenever I switch out of cd player mode and it goes to AM, then FM always works when I switch to it from AM. Sound strange, but cheaper than replacing as long as this works everytime.
