Default performance Options for a 98 4x4 with 5.2L

Once I get the D going good I plan on doing a few things...One of the big ones will be improving the Horsepower and Torque since I figure the gas milage wont get much worse...maybe better since I will not have to have such a heavy foot to get the thing to speed.

Anyone have an recommendations to get the 5.2l 318 to about oh 300-350 Horses? I figure a good set of Headers with complete exhaust plus a fastman TB with Ram Air hood is a good start. Want to keep the Computer stuff and do as little internal modification as possible and also keep it civil for the street. It will also be used for Towing every now and then...and some off road. Im also reading about switching to an E-Fan to free up some power.

Thanks in advance...I like to build a plan for upgrades ahead of time so I know what to aim for in the future.

If you plan to mod the 5.2l to target your 300-350 HP, it will not come cheap. The mods you mention may not be enough to achieve you goals. You may need to buy a supercharger to compliment your mod list to get those HP figures and still retain alot of your stock components. You may definitely need to strengthen your tranny to handle the extra torque made from your mod list.

I thought about a charger...but with the mileage it might be tough on the engine though im not gonna be racing the thing. Well if Im gonna go that route I might as well refresh the motor since it would prob get pulled when dropping in a stronger tranny. Anyone got a good Cam Recommendation for that power range and use...with a charger?

Guess im gonna be buying alot of beer for my mechanic friends lol.
