I'm at 30,000 in my wife's 2000 Durango and getting ready to change the spark plugs. I'm going with Autolite Platinum AP3924 but I need to know if I should go with the .40 gap that dodge recommends for the stock plug or is there a different gap for platinum plugs? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Unless you've done extensive mods(turbo, NO2, etc.) stick with the factory gap. Any replacement plug should already have a .040 gap preset. Size, type, and "cold" variants of stock plugs might be considered depending on your driving style and engine mods.

You will want to stick with the champion copper plugs D's don't like platinum, at least mine didn't. It wouldn't even stay running until it got warm one night. I used bosch platinum plugs I can't remember if it had the 2 or 3 prongs on the plug but just go with champions, you'll save money too. The .044 gap is what I'm doing and it runs like a champ.
