I still have to do a fuel sync on it. I only have about 65miles on it right now. I think I'm going to wait till there's at least 3,000 miles before I dyno it. This is my 1st engine build and for only being 22 I'm proud of it.
Nice setup. Sounds like you are catching up to me.
So when are you going to go through the transmission and gears to hold up this motor you just put in. When I did my build up I went through the whole thing done but I paid a PRETTY PENNY for it. Also many issues with the build up because of so much difference's in OEM to rebuild. You are most likely going to have overseen problems like I did. I had OEM heavy duty package and still had to change pieces out for others for under performance issue mainly. Just a heads up. It sounds like all you did was build the crap out of your motor but didn't put anything downstream to handle the overload. Now I started with a 5.9L, 46RE, NV242, 392. All is still the same just well built up to handle more than I'm throwing at it.

I don't think I have anything left to build up except the transfer case. I could use some true dual exhaust but I can wait for that. The trans has a modified valve body, performance clutches, and a shift kit. I installed new motive 4.10 gears with auburn posi a few months ago. I wish I would have taken pictures of the modified intake. We spent days working on it. We milled it,and ported& polished the hell out of it. I'm going to try and leave the truck alone for a few months as far as performance goes. I'm unemployed, have house payment, truck payment, and a whole sh!tload of bills! I have a turbo sitting next to me just in case I'm not happy with the dyno #'s.
Impressive build and thanks for bringing Hughes Engines to my attention in an earier post.
How come you did'nt get a Hughes air gap manifold and tb though? I saw them after reading a post you made and am now saving up to get 'em for my 5.9L.
Also after phoning Perma-Cool due to a spec issue I found they make a12" e-fan that draws 3000 CFM @ 2400 RPM @ 7.5 amps ten blade fan 12.5"hX12"wX3.75"thick on a 30 amp fuse at about $100 a pop. I beleive the stock radiator's core surface area is about 19"X26" so two of these siamesed side by side coould pull up to 6000 CFM at a mere 15 amp draw combined. The 14" fan they sell will pull 2950 CFM@ 1800 RPM @ 9.5 amps 14"x14"x3.75" they cover more area but I don't think they'll fit flat may have to sit in a ^ config with custom shroud.
Anyways that's how you could get 6000 CFM for around the same price or lessas those twin 15" truck fan setups that I've seen ranging from $480- over $800 and they only pull 4500 CFM draw.

I'm unemployed! haha I wanted to get the edelbrock intake but I'm broke. And I already had the throttle body before I did the engine swap. I just need to get a fuel sync done ASAP. It's at 15! A stock truck is 0 and I need it at 4...
very impressive build, never woulda guessed that to be your first.
what is a fuel sync? and how is you being at 15 a bad thing? I really have never heard of this term, but it sounds pretty damn important.

Fuel sync is basically where your injectors/timing are set with the camshaft. (by turning the distributor) 0 is perfect for stock engines. When you have a performance cam it should be +4. My truck is running kinda ****ty right now, hopefully tomorrow I'll have some time to do it. The dealership doesn't even know what a fuel sync is...5 star my a$$! I used their scanner to find out where mine was at but the distributor was too tightto turn!
