Default Trying to help next door neighbor scan.....

He's got a '98 with a v8. I own a autoxray ez6000 scaner and couldn't get any reading off his suv?? I was using the yellow obd-II cable but looked in the manual and it says some 96'+ auto's need the purple enhanced cable. Think thats why it wont read it??

Thanks for any help or idea's.

I like the easy way, too many other things come hard. [8D]

The OBD-ll outlet could be damaged as well. I would take it to Auto Zone.

I'm thinking the obd-II outlet might be damaged too. Still waiting to here from Autoxray.....
