Durango Running Boards
Okay I have just picked up a pair of used boards from a guy here in my area. I have a 1999 with the 5.2 V8.
Well my truck has never had boards on it so I have found that there are no mounting holes in my rocker panel.
I've already checked and the boards fit perfectly so now it's just about making sure they are attached properly so that they won't fall off when someone steps on them.
I have thought about just getting some good selftapping bolts, large size of course, like 7/16" or 1/2" at least but I'm not sure if the rocker by itself is thick enough to hold them in place with some reinforcement.
So does anyone have any ideas/suggestions on how to go about this?

Actually guys I think I have found a solution.
I have been working in an auto plant for the last few weeks and one of the guys I'm working with had an idea.
He took me out to the line and we grabbed some threaded clip-on nuts and a bunch of bolts with floating washers. These are the same bolts that they use to attach the running boards onto the trucks going down the line today.
So now it looks like I'll need to drill some holes and make some kind of slot for the clip-ons. 12 on each side total.
I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work.
I'll let you know after I have a chance to hang them.
