are you wondering if an overhead DVD player can hook into the Trip conputer console?

I don't quite understand what you're trying to ask.

I think he's asking if he can install the overhead trip computer on a non-trip computer D?

I just pulled the light out of the roof on my non-trip computer D. There was only one wire harness and it was the one that is plugged into the map lights and it has only 3 wires. Is this the same as one with the trip computer?

No, it's not plug -n- play as I have a 98 Durango and brought my overhead console from ebay. You'll need to do the wiring yourself, which includes soldering and buying an ambient temp sensor.
