This afternoon I rolled up the driver's window. Few seconds later I heard a loud knock in the door and watched the window slide down.
When I got home I saw the cable slipped and is now hanging at the bottom of the door. The cable is still attached to the window and to the motor [which stil works]. I can pull the window down with the cable and when I push the window up, I can feel the cable go up with it. Is there a link or a thread that shows me the cable run diagram for the regulator?

it may be that plastic retainer clip broke, thus why the cable is hanging. No way to fix the retainer clip that I know of. Best is to replace the regulator assemby. cheapest place to buy is thru amazon. last time I search for a user looking for one in this forum ran around $79 I think. This includes the motor also.

Assuming it may have been the plastic cable quide at the bottom of the regulator, I was able to "fix" mine by drilling a small hole in the plastic guideand safety wiring it in place. Knock on wood, so far so good after a year. Thiswas on an 02 Dak but assume the 00 Durango should bethe same.

There was a plastic guide that did come loose. I couldn't see where it popped off from. This weekend I'm gonna take out the regulator and see what can be done. I called the dealership and they wanted almost $250.00. I ordered online for $89.00 but it won't make it here by the weekend. Plan to check out some old mining trails north of Phoenix / Wickenburg area. I'll try the drill and wiring suggestion. Maybe I won't need the replacement reg. afterall!
