Default new Durango owner questions

I just got a 2000 Durango and I have 2 quick questions. 1) my drivers side fog light is cracked and leaks water so the bulb blows when it rains. Does anyone know whereI can get a replacement? Thebest priceI have found is around $50.00 that's seems high to me. 2) I have the 4.7 magnum . What makes it a magnum, is that just the name or is there a difference between a 4.7 magnum and just a 4.7 motor? Thanks all for any help/info.

for a brand new replacement, 50$ for the pair isnt too bad.....only place i think to find a better deal would be a scrap yard, and in there finding a good light is not that easy to come by. Quick cheap fix is to put a nice wad of clear silicone over the crack/hole, thats what i did to both of mine.

Deerang, I think yellowfish implied $50 is just the drivers side. I have a 2000 model and both of my fogs are cracked. I do not know why dodge has to make so many different types of fog light that are year specific! And 2000 specific to its own year! Cannot use a light off a 98-99 or 01-03 model!

Last time I hunted down a OEM replacement light was around $79 ea. Looking for some nice aftermarket angel eye xenon fog lights now. Walmart had a set of them for $40 a pair. Just not sure if I have to do alot of retrofitting to make them mountable where the OEM were.

Thanks for the insight , I was looking for one in junkyards locally and no luck. I was about to try one from another year or from a Dakota but now I know the 00' has it's own light [:@]. Oh and yes best priceI have found new is $50 for just the one side.

Magnum is just Dodge's marketing ploy to make you think you have something special. Just like Toyota uses I-Force and Chevy uses whatever they use, and Ford, etc.
