I used Autolites.

You'll probably get a wide variety of opinions.

Some use the original Champions, but I see alot using the NGK V-Power lately.

From what I've gathered, it's better to use Copper than Platnium...

My vote goes for the ill spoken of platinum plugs. Not just any plug though, but the platinumversion of the factory plugs. I replaced my OEM Champs (RC12MCC4) with their double platinum equivalent 7318.

After 35k, they still new and the gap is unchanged. Just my 02. for your perusal.

I think the recommendation against the use of platinum plugs is for the 5.2/5.9 family of engines. 4.7's should be okay.

Don't know so much about the 5.2/5.9, but the plat plugs are not recommended for the 4.7. WhenI had my D in for a service, the stealer say that I had the plats and wrote, "Someone has put platinum plugs into this motor. The 4.7 motor was not designed for platinum plugs. Recommended that we replace plugs with oemplugs. Declined by customer."

So far, I have 35k on the platinum version of the oem plugs, and they are still gapped at .040. MPG and performance is right where is ought to be. Nough said!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
