Default 98 durango power adapter

I have an inverter that i plug my laptop into in the car. when i plug it into the the 20amp power adapter i have to wiggle it around to get it to work and if i go over a bump it stops working. when i plug it into the cig lighter i dont have this problem. so i know the problem is with the plug. any advise?

the acc. prot is actually bigger than the cig port. quick test take cig lighter and stick it in acc. port loose as a goose. get a jewels screwdriver and carefully slide it under the side "neg" terminal and pry it out a bit. do it to both sides till you get a tight fit.

Also please disconnect your battery beforedoing this or you will short out the accessory plugs...
