Im gonna take a shot in the dark, but could it be because your plugs were so bad before and now the vehicle is getting too rich? I know some cars you can disconnect the battery and reset the computer and have it learn your driving style. Just my $.02

Could be a vacuum leak causing it to run lean. (just taking a shot in the dark)

Okay, I have done the restart Hydra suggested and I still have that gas smell. Therefore, I am assuming I need to be looking at vacuum lines now?

STOP RIGHT THERE! make sure there isnt an exhaust leak under the hood, or close to under the hood. THIS WILL CAUSE A GAS FUME SMELL IN THE CAB, but other than that, im clueless lol

Shop could have not tightned a plug enough or installed the wrong plugs. Let the PCM fully reset as I instructed. Most likely you are burning rich and it will take time for the computer to figure it out. About 48 miles and 12 starts. Do as instructed in the post.

You can check all vacuum lines leading into the air hat because people forget to reconnect them.

The last thing you can do is to find out what spark plugs the shop installed? What motor are we working on?
