Default cold air intake

Hey all, merry christmas, I was looking on ebay and I came across this intake for my D. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BOMZ-...QQcmdZViewItem
Would this be worth buying even if I did end up buyin a K&N filter for it?

Thanks

I imagine it would do better than the stock intake... Look into getting an intake that put's the filter further from the engine though. I know a lot of those ebay intakes have the cone sitting right on top of the engine...

From what I researched, if you replace the flex air tubing from the OEM filter box to the airhat with a smooth bore tubing, it'll provide a smoother airflow just like those CAI kits. I am looking to see if I can find the right PVC parts from lowes/home depot to do it myself.
