Default oil coming out of front fender??

99 d 5.2 4x4 i just dont get it !!! my pass. side front fender has what smells like dif fluid or some kind of oil. my breather got some residue on it but no where near whats coming out of my fender. its mainly in the part where the wires go for the headlights. please help its all over my bumper and paints starting to bubble from it. and what ever it is, its level of fluid must be low by now. i did relocate my breather to install custom air intake but after noticeing this i managed to put it back to stock location but still leaking.. started happening like 3 days ago prior to t/s lift & tires but i know that had nothing to do with it.

Are you pulling our chains with filter oil? Now is it you know its the breather or you are still unsure what it is? Is under the hood covered?Dab a white piece of paper on the oil see if you can distiguish either type of fluids. My D has the tranny cooler lines close to that location.

if its not tanish motor oil or redish trans fluid it has to be your diff breather. my diff oil is clear but i guess it depends on how old it is..

Ok, I'm lost on this one.

Oil of some sort is flowing all over ruining paint from an unknown source?
Also unknown fluid type.

My guess is that this is trany fluid coming from the connection to the radiator for cooling. Sounds like he routed a custom ram air from the passenger side front clip next to the head light. (Ya, I have that one to). Sounds like he pried a tube into that section and put pressure on the line creating a leek.

Sounds like you need to check the trany fluid to me?

When i customized my FLIPK housing I had that fun, but the most damage was to my ac lines. At that time i was a fat kid in a candy store and too much of a hurry to put my custom touch on itand not thinking about the future of installing a 3" BL.[sm=oopssign.gif]

LOL

That can happen. I like custom products and a lot of the time they work out better that way.

yeah your right i made mine out of hvac duct and had rerouted my axle breather to my fender right above headlights. i guess it some how forced axle fluid out of the breather. i just didn't think of the breather at the time. i moved it close to OEM spot and its fine now, i think cant really tell ya i just recently blew up the engine.

hey duranged once you did your BL did you have to make a new CAI or just add another adjustable 90 ???
currently have T/S w/32x11.5 BL is on its way
i made my CAI carefully squeeze between air dam and radiator w/slight bend to ac lines

Right now i have removed my K&N shroud due to the increased height after the lift. I highly recomendlooking into a replacement if doing the3"BL,the K&N solid intake if you have the FLIPK, gives you nomovementand has to be forced depending on the filter. Mine is cramped and with the engine torque, flexes the tube and in not long is sure to wear/ break. Im in the process of searching the books, Jegs had a duct kit that i like and more than likely will purchase it i can find more about the unversal aspect.

** But thats the Solid K&N. Maybe your kit can be adjusted. My next kit would be solid tube in sections connected with grommets so adjusting will not be an issue.
