2002 Transmission Problems?
My 2002, 4.7 Durango has a problem. Twice I've let it sit for a couple of days and when I took it out in the am, it seemed the transmission was slipping or frozen?. I would give it gas and it would rev (the rpm gauge would move) but the truck would barely move. After less than 2 minutes, it would be fine. It has been very cold, -28 degrees Celcius here in NB, Canada at night. I had let it warm up and had it plugged in before driving. It has only happened when I didn't drive it for a few days and it had sat. I would only have it in 2 wheel overdrive when this happened. Does this sound like it could become an expensive problem?

In those cold temps, seals can shrink and not do their job properly which can cause the issue you are having.
Make sure when you check the fluid level the tranny is at operating temp (driven for at least 10 miles) with engine running.
IIRC, there is a TSB for an inline valve that goes bad which also causes your issue.I believe you can either replace the valve, or just remove it altogether.
