Default driving with parking brake?

so i drove to school with my 2001 dodge durango with the parking brake still ingaged. when i got to school their was steam coming out of the hood of my car, i think i over worked my engine. so i popped the hood and their was coolant everywhere. i am pretty sure it sprayed out of the radiator cap, i opened the coolant resevoir and their was no more coolant left so i got home and refilled it but i added a little too much. so when i drive for a couple of miles and park and open the hood theirs some more coolant that sprayed out is this going to keep happening until theirs a good amount of coolant left?, its only a 2001 so i doubt their are any leaks i never had any problems with the car before. my question is the cap like spring loaded? when theirs to much or pressure to high it opens up and releases pressure and coolant?

Are you sure it's coming from the cap? If so, replace the cap. It shouldn't be leaking from it at all.

I would check over the whole thing to see where it's coming from. You can do a pressure test, a dye test or many other ways.
