Does the manual shifter inside have:

2WD
4PT
4HI
NEUTRAL
4LOW

Old School<---- You might have to jack the front end up and take both wheels off the ground, turn the wheels then shift the case.

Im assuming that i have it in 4wd, jack it up, turn the wheels, then pop it in 2wd correct?

The light doesn't mean anything, they used the same cluster in 1998-1999 and I bleieve some 2000's. If you have a light bulb and it lights in both 4ft and 4pt then a "maybe".

The fact of the motter is, when you shift do you have 5 selections or not? Someone could have replaced the T-case with a different one.

Old<-----Place it up in the air. Get in and shift the T-case from neutral all the way up into 2WD. Get out and roll both front wheels backwards so they spin at the same time. Most likely you will hear and see the front end move when you complete the shift anyway.
