GRRRRRRRRRRR!

I love my Durango, but at the same time I HATE THIS TRUCK!!!!!!!!!

OK I have had constant transmission problem with this truck. The tranny died, got a used one. It died also while under warranty, so it went back and they sent another one. 2 weeks later, it died also so they sent a 3rd one. That one did OK except now there is a clicking noise that I have been told is the flywheel, that its cracked. OK-- so I drove it from one house to another ( under 7 miles-- we were moving) and it started leaking tranny fluid at an alarming rate. Hubby says it looks like the tranny wasn't bolted all the way in, and that its dropped. Grrrrrr. The shop that worked on this truck before is no longer open, so going back to them isn't an option. I have also been told that the torque converter and flyweel are 1 part, and you can't buy just the flywheel. I want it fixed so that I can get rid of it! I love the truck when it runs, its fun to drive, is roomy, and mine is loaded, but I can't have such an unreliable vehicle, I have kids to worry about. The check engine light is also on and stays on, but I don't think there is a connection. Any thoughts, ideas, input? sorry if I seem like I am venting, I'm just really aggrivated! [&:]

RE: Fed up with tranny problems!!!!!!!!!!
If it were me I would have gone strainght to a dodge dealership and let them do the first replacement weather it was under waranty or not and even if it were a bit more expensive they deal with those vehicles all the time and if somthing goes wrong they are responsible and you know they aren't going out of business any time soon. might wanna have them fix the thing before the wrong people fix it the wrong way and break even more next time thus costing you even more then if you would have taken it to a dealership in the first place.

In my opinion I do not cut corners or look for the cheepest bidder when getting my 30k Durango worked on go to the pros
