Default Muffler and Cat install

Anyone know what a good price is just for the install, plus misc. piping? I went out and bought a new Cat and muffler, since I got quoted by a mechanic $1000 just for the cat and another $300 for the muffler. I know they were quoting OEM parts, so went and picked up a Flowmaster high flow Cat and muffler for $280 all in. I just don't want to get raped on the install, as I figure it could only take 2 hours, maybe 3 of shop time at the most, plus misc. parts.

Any input would be great as I'm trying to get it done tomorrow.

That is not an easy question to answer. Basically just do some background checking for your local muffler shops to see if they are honest and reputable. Best place to start is the BBB in your local area. Prices vary from shop to shop and also the area where you live at. But I would guess, the cost to install the cat and muffler may be around $100 for misc extra pipe and labor.
