Default 2000 5.9 4x4 Tranny Problem

I've searched thru alot of previous posts but wanted to post a new thread because my problem is not identical to the others.

From a complete stop while in drive, i had my foot on the accelerator and i could hear the engine reving a little but it took a sec or 2 to start going. Shifting in between 1st and 2nd was also not normal. All the other gears seemed fine.

I stopped and shut off the vehicle, checked transmission fluid with vehicle running, and it was full.

Then when i started goign again, it shifted perfectly fine all the way home. Then today it did it again.

Any ideas? THe truck has the engine light on and i haven't been able to get it to a shop yet to read the codes.

Please help...

Thanks

Being new here, I've been scrounging around for answers too. I can't exactly help with the tranny, but I ran across this that may allow you to read your own codes without a scanner seein it's a 2000+. Wish this worked on a 1999.

Check it out and post the codes too, these guys seem to know about everything.
