Default Durango Serpentine Belt pulley problems

We have a few questions concerning the pulleys used with the serpentine belt on our '99 Durango.

We have a loud squeak when driving and we're fairly sure it's the A/C pulley, we have already replaced the Idler pulley.

My Questions are.............

Is it possible to change just the bearing on the A/C pump pulley?

Where can I find a breakdown of the pump to get a part number?

Is the tensioner supposed to have spring tension on it at all times? I am able to use a wrench to remove tension to remove serpentine belt and it doesn't "spring back" it just stays put. Is that correct? It does apply pressure to the belt if I turnthe tensionerCCW and it seems to hold.

It would appear that your tensioner pulley is bad, as it should pring back one you release the pressure on it. I would also venture to say that the squeak is related to the same pulley. As for the A/C pulley issue, you might be able to replace the pulley itself, but I am not sure.

I would replace the tensioner(it should have tension at all time)and would bet it fixes your problem.

Most issues with a belt squeak are either the idler pulley, tensioner or the belt itself.

I've thought of it to be the A/C before and it was not.
