Has anyone seen or know how to secure the center console with a locking mechanism ? I was hoping to find a locking tumbler to install in the round push button.

 

On other forums I've seen people install lock boxes in place of the centre console.. Like a very small fire safe..

I think You'd have to drill through the backside of it in order to bolt it in place though.. a way to secure it to the D so that they don't take your whole box..maybe drill through it, and on the outside put those rounded head bolts and put the nuts inside the bottom of the box, so it has to be open to unbolt it...

If you put a lock on your console, its still a plastic box, which can easily be broken if somebody really wants what you have..
