I love my durango but it has been giving me fits!!! It turns over but takes 3-4 seconds of trying to actually start. its just enough to be embarrasing ya know. Now to top it off I have taken it to a shop twice and both times the truck started fine...without a hitch and as soon as I get home it acts up again. I would love to get this problem fixed any suggestions? It is the 5.2 v8mag. Any and I do mean ANY help would be greatly appreciated!!!

 

when you turn the key to ON, wait like 2-3 before you start cranking.. Maybe it's just slow to get fuel.. if that doesnt reduce your cranking time; next time you go to start it, "prime" it twice (ON, wait 2 sec, OFF, ON wait 2 sec START)

It may be a weak fuel pump, or drity filter, or maybe your driveway is just slanted.. It's not really an easy problem to diagnose..
