changing out rotors
I have a 2000 dodge durango 4X4 with the 5.9 motor.I would like to know how the front rotors come off, after I take off the calipers, do I need to take off the cotter pin in the middle off the rotor and then remove the large nut, and if so how much will I need to torque when I put it back on. and does anyone know what size that middle hub nut is? it seemed like a 1 1/4" fit pretty good, or is it metric? If this bolt does have to be removed any recommendation on getting it off as it is a very tight (penetrating oil an long braker bar while someone hits the brakes prior to taking off the caliper?) any info would be good.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
after remove the tire and caliper, the rotors will just pull right off. they may be a little tight becuase of rust. but just smack them with a soft hammer or a piece of wood. then just pull them off.
