I am having a problem opening my back hatch on my durango. It started not working all of the time and then it just stopped working all together. the locking mechanism seems to work fine, but it just wont open anymore. I dont see an inside latch or release anywhere either. does anyone have any tips on how to get this thing opened? maybe it is rusted inside and just not working properly?

There are some screws located on the inside of the door. You can remove these to gain access to the inside. From here you can see what is going on. I believe you can access them from the inside if the door will not open but they are a pain. You really want to get the door open first.
