conversion?
i need to know weather it is possible to convert my 4.7L durango to a 5.9L or if it has been done i had a 5.2L durango and i loved the power how ever i am not as impressed with the 4.7L

What year is your D, and are you having problems with your 4.7??? Overall, it is quite a good engine. Not a powerhouse by any stretch, but since a Gen1 Durango runs about 4800 pounds moving it is a bit of a task to start with.
Were you to switch it to a 5.9, it would no doubt require different harnesses, computers, and sensors to make things work. Also, the older 52/5.9 motors came with the 44re/46re series of transmissons, while the 4.7/5.7 comes with the 45rfe/545rfe series.
Although it could be done, I think you would end up spending more than you wanted to get it done. Having a donor D with all of the factory 5.9 hardware would not doubt simplify the hardward end of things.
