Default axle noise

ok. i cleaned out my axle housing. reinstalled the saddle clamp and put medium strength thread sealant(lock-tite) on the bolts and put a new bolt on the thrust washer lil bracey thingy.

i used vavoline 80-90w synthetic gear oil and now i have this really messed up clicking noise constantly now. is it becuase the ring and pinion are damaged still or do i have more problems than i thought?

btw. i only put it back together becuase i cant afford to have it down anymore. wifes gonna drive it the 10miles round trip to work till i can put a new ring and pinion and bearings in it.

for those who dont know. see this thread first.

in that pic on the other post that third hole that the other guys are talking about, is supposed to have a metal clip bolted to it to hold the ring assembly in place right to left.

ya. i reinstalled the clip with a new bolt since the old bolt is basically nothing left now. suprisingly the clip was intact.
