Default 4wd low light

I rarely put my d into 4 wheel low.. and i was thinking back to when i bought it back in 99. When you put it into 4 wheel low the 4x4 light on the dash turned on in red, at least thats what i remeber. last time i tried it only the 4wd part time light came on. The shifter was in the full 4 low possition and i could tell the wheels were kicked in. Is the light for 4wd low red and i got a fault somehwere??

well without driving over to my shop i could not tell you, cause i really don't pay that close attention to the lights. but what you could do is turn your key to the on posision and look at the dash. all the lights should come on. they wont stay on long so you may have to do it a few times. when the lights are on look for your fwd low light.

That would be the first thing to check.. but the funny ol D doesnt light up either of the 4wd lights when you first turn the car on... seems kinda funny to me.. but if light is hitting the cluster just right you see that there are lights in those spots.. dont know why they wouldnt light up with the group test but the 4wd part time light still turns on with the floor shifter in 4wd... just not 4wd low (red)

What about the selector sensor on the T-case?
